Aims

Operating through the provision of an exhibition platform and the implementation of a global artistic network, Arthmeisia.eu has the following aims:

  • Raising profiles
By increasing the visibility and dissemination of contemporary artistic output and projects, Arthemisia.eu endeavours to raise the profiles of the many talented artists who seek recognition for their creative contributions.

  • Supporting interaction and collaboration
Arthemisia.eu brings together artists working in different disciplines under a shared name. Not only does this encourage a dialogue between varying creative practices but also allows contemporary artists to share ideas between peers in a supported environment. This allows for the fullest development of artistic potential and for the creation of innovative and informed artwork.

  • Creating networks
Arthemisia.eu seeks to unite UK-based artists with international colleagues. By introducing national artists to the working practices of those from abroad, Arthemisia.eu allows the artist to go beyond the existing framework of their work, creating opportunities for multi-lateral creative development. By giving UK artists global opportunities, and global artists access to the London art scene, Arthemisia.eu enables an international artistic exchange. It offers a platform from which artists are also encouraged and supported to develop their international careers.

  • Exchanging and promoting shared experience
By liaising with other contemporary art groups, Arthemsia.eu aims to work collectively to develop the arts scene both in the UK and abroad. It is envisaged that Arthemisia.eu will facilitate joint participation of different artistic groupings and communities in a number of key projects, pooling pre-existing resources and developing new opportunities to maximise artistic potential.
